I help corporate leaders leverage emotional intelligence to become trauma sensitive and create psychologically safe environments where people and performance thrive (via secure video). I can help you create spaces that are psychologically safe for everyone, work with you to improve your emotional intelligence at work, help you effectively implement a trauma-informed care program, advise regarding reasonable accommodations for traumatized employees under ADA, and more.

For Parents

If your child has been traumatized, you are probably upset and worried. I can guide you through the process of knowing what your child needs, where to start, and what you can do at home to help your child. As a parent, you have an enormous impact on your child’s recovery from trauma, and research shows that treatment is most effective when parents are involved. I will help you understand trauma reactions, guide you through the treatment process, advise about how to handle behavioral issues, fears, and behavioral regression, work with you and your child to learn ways to manage intense emotions, and help you stay calm and grounded for your child. My approach focuses on the parent-child bond as the primary instrument of healing and recovery for your child.

If you are preparing to adopt:

Parenting a child who has experienced trauma and attachment disruption can be an overwhelming adjustment. I will teach you about trauma and attachment and how to handle common problems that arise, so you know what to expect and are prepared.

For Mental Health Professionals

With trauma becoming more widespread, mental health professionals who have little or no trauma expertise may find themselves seeing patients who have been traumatized. Enhance your knowledge of trauma and build your skills in the assessment and treatment of trauma and the integration of trauma treatment methods, through case consultation and training.

Case consultations are available individually or for a group of up to six professionals.

For Adults with Trauma

If you have experienced a traumatic event, you are probably experiencing a range of overwhelming and confusing reactions. The important thing to know is you are not going crazy; this is normal for what you’ve been through. Trauma is treatable and you won’t feel this way forever.

I use a number of treatment methods, including methods that do not require you to share details about the traumatic event that you don’t want to share. Your treatment will be carefully individualized to fit your unique personality, needs, experiences, and comfort level, using methods that have been validated by scientific research.

In my psychology practice, you will receive customized, highly confidential, flexible, quality care. I limit the number of clients in my practice, allowing you to book an appointment quickly and receive the quality attention you deserve. I answer my calls and emails directly; you do not need to explain confidential matters to a receptionist or answering service.

All services are offered via secure video.
Leadership consulting and consultation for mental professionals are non-clinical services and are offered to leaders and professionals in any location.
Clinical psychology services are available for residents of NY, OH, and FL only, due to licensure regulations.
Services are offered by 50-minute sessions, unless a different arrangement is made. Cost is currently $250 per session.
